About this place
For ramen, start with Nakawo’s ramen. One lunchtime diner described the pork-bone soy-sauce broth as light and easy to drink, with a thick slice of chashu that made its presence felt. Another visitor reported that the thick, soy-based pork-bone broth clung well to the thin noodles, and that the chashu also made an impression. Diners have differing impressions of the noodles and broth, but there are also options such as a chashu ramen with extra meat and a ramen topped with a generous assortment of ingredients. You can start with the basic bowl and add more from there.
Another meal option is the signature young-chicken karaage set. A diner recalled five large pieces, with juicy meat and well-seasoned coating that went nicely with rice. The young-chicken thigh tempura set is a different choice, with tartar sauce available on the side; it offers a different combination from the karaage. Both set meals suit a hearty lunch or dinner.
Alongside ramen and set meals, the menu includes Nagoya Cochin egg rice and combinations with nikusui, a light beef soup. You can also pair small plates with drinks, making Nakawo an appealing place to enjoy a meal in different ways.
